In today's New York Times, critic Arthur Lubow sheds light on Blueprint for a Temple (II) (currently on view at Gagosian Gallery), a monumental diazotype collage discovered in summer 2022—41 years after the passing of Francesca Woodman. Characterizing it as “more conceptual and experimental” than its previously known iteration, Blueprint for a Temple (I)—in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art—Lubow calls attention to “the Temple” and a range of gelatin silver prints that highlight the classical motifs, architectural references, and tension captured through Woodman’s lens.To read the article, please click on the link in our bio.
